The Crows and the Serpent कौए और साँप
A crow couple nested in a tall tree, but every time they laid eggs, a black snake living at the foot of the tree crept up and ate them.
Heartbroken, they asked a wise jackal for help. He gave them a plan. The next morning, the princess came to bathe in the nearby lake and left her gold necklace on the bank. The female crow swooped down, picked it up and flew slowly, so the guards could follow her. She dropped the necklace into the snake's hole.
The guards dug into the hole to get it back, found the snake, and killed it. From then on, the crows raised their young in peace.
